This time I won’t be your prey
My heart can’t handle it when you throw me away

When you reach for my hand
It takes all my strength to pull away
But some how you always manage to get your way

I’m there when you need me
And pushed aside when you don’t

I’m sick of your excuses
They always seem lame
So why do I believe them and let you play me again?

I want you to hold me
And love it when you do
But how you can be the same way with someone else?

I’m sorry that you hurt me
I wish it could be another way
But it’s not me who does this

You just happen to win your twisted game.
